Hi! Frank, MailResponderPro is a excellent script with great feature. I took my own time to understand the features and functionality. I recently received email from my host provider that the script schedule.pl is taking alot of server resource. Top Process %CPU 92.0 /usr/bin/perl /home/<disableddisplay>/public_html/<disableddisplay>/mailresponder/schedule.pl Top Process %CPU 55.0 /usr/bin/perl /home/<disableddisplay>/public_html/<disableddisplay>/mailresponder/schedule.pl }Top Process %CPU 51.0 /usr/bin/perl /home/<disableddisplay>/public_html/<disableddisplay>/mailresponder/schedule.pl I was going to launch big newletter subscription but now the host company has restricted me to use this script in future. Kindly suggest how can I resolve this huge resource load it takes. At this moment, I have only 5 people whome I have scheduled for 1 newsletter each day. Cron Job: (every five minutes so that it can send limited emails within hour) --------- 0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /home/<disableddisplay>/public_html/<disableddisplay>/mailresponder/schedule.pl Kindly help. Hi CyberTech, Generally speaking, the server load depends a lot on how the script is used... Things that increase server load are... - The number of times the schedule.pl is called (more often = more load) - The "Script Settings" that affect how long each process lasts (longer = more load) - The more fields are used (Field Manager) - The use of HTML messages or HTML + Plain text together - etc. My web host (Kiosk at http://FrankBauer.name/recommends/Kiosk ) allows you to send up to 30,000 messages a day from a shared web server. Once you get past that, they ask you to upgrade to a dedicated server.
