I have a nice looking newsletter in Microsoft Publisher that I want to send as HTML mail with Mailman Standard. From Publisher, I can choose to send it as an email message, and it comes through fine. I've tried saving out of Publisher as a single file web page (.mht) file in order to get all of the images together, opening that resulting page in IE (looks great), view source, copy all, and paste it into Mailman Standard as an HTML message. When I receive the message, however, it is missing its graphics. Any suggestions for getting it to come through completely? Thanks. |

Hello Luann, An HTML page is build using HTML commands. This commands can call a picture, but the picture needs to be located on a web server in order to be called. What you need to do is to upload the pictures onto your web server and then call them from within the web page using the proper URL's. E.g. <img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/images/picture.gif"> Sincerely, Frank Bauer ============================================================ Would you like more... ? Yes, thanks. I think I concluded yesterday that will be what I will have to do. Publisher has some trick to embedding everything, but perhaps it is making one big jpg out of the newsletter publication and creating an image map with the hyperlinked text it contains. Interesting...but I think you are right that storing the images on the web site is the way to go. Thanks . Luann |
