Hi Frank,

Great program. I'd like to know how to customize the ed.cgi and sub.cgi pages. I'd like it to look like the rest of our pages and without all the add2it links etc. Please advise.

Best Regards,
Al Wadleigh

Hello Al,

You can change the appearance of that pages by editing the header & footer boxes in the "Script Settings" section of the Admin Control Center.

Sincerely,

Hi Frank,

I tried changing the header and footer in the "Script Settings" section of the Admin Control Center but it reverts to the original settings upon saving.

What should I try next?

Hello Al,

I just tried it on your www.nlpco.com web site on which I installed the script for you before and it works fine.

What exactly is still the problem?

Sincerely,

Hi Frank,

What I am wanting to do is customize the ed.cgi and sub.cgi pages so they fit in with our design metaphor.

For example, when a person who is already in the email list enters their address again they are taken to the page ed.cgi – which is in the design of your add2it site which is beige and blue and includes links to add2it.com and options for translation. Same thing with the sub.cgi page.

What I want is to change the colors to my site design colors, drop the bottom table with all your link info and translation stuff and replace it with links to other pages on my site.

You have stated that this can be done by changing the header and footer information in the "script settings." When I attempt to change the header information and add footer information (the footer window is blank) and click "save settings" no changes are saved. Your header information is restored and the footer information I placed is missing. Herein lies the problem.

Thanks,

Hello Al,

I noticed that you have Add2it Mailman Pro installed on your server at two locations. Which one did you use?

Sincerely,

Hello Al,

just to make sure it is not the script, I updated your installation to the most recent version for you and checked all the permissions on the files.

Please try again to change the header and footer.

Sincerely,

Frank Bauer

Hi Frank,

That sounds like a good plan. But it's not working at all now. I can't get into the admin or add an email to the list. Please help.

Thanks,
Al

Hi Frank,

Thanks for fixing it. I was able to change the header information and add footer information. I would still like to be able to drop the "Add2it Mailman Pro [ Affiliate Program | Sign-Up | Login ] Click here to go back! Version 2.20 Would you like more...? www.add2it.com" text and links and the translation links from the page. How can I accomplish this? I would be happy to leave your copyright on the page but I'd really like to drop the rest so that it is a seemless intetration with the rest of our design.

Thanks,
Al

Hello Al,

The current version does not allow this, but I am working already on the next release.

The next release of Add2it Mailman Pro will allow you to choose which part of it you want to display and where. Some copyright details will of course have to remain. But that ones you can also choose where you want to display them.

Sincerely,

Sure... :)

Did you subscribe already to the Add2it Scripts Update & Announcement List?

If not, here is the link:
