I posted this question yesterday but it seems to have disappeared from the message board?!?

I have several mailings all backed up in my scheduled messages. I wasn't paying attention this weekend as we had guests. How do I unclog the works and get things moving again?

Hello Deanna,

You can increase the speed in which messages are send out several ways...

1. You can increase the "Maximum time for each manual subscription, unsubscriptions or messages send process at each run" in the "Script Settings" section.

2. You can set "Choose how many messages the script will send per second at a maximum" in the "Script Settings" section to "As many as possible".

3. You can increase the number of times that the cron-job calls the schedule.pl script, e.g. in your web servers control panel from once every 5 minutes to once a minute.

Sincerely,

Frank Bauer

But what do I do about the messages that were scheduled to go out days ago and didn't. How do I get those out of the schedule so it will work again?

Hello Deanna,

If those have been scheduled while the cron-job was active and working, the script will sends those out automatically.

It always sends the oldest scheduled message first and the newest scheduled message last.
Sincerely,

Frank Bauer

But what do I do about this:

10/20/04 plmgold dq 1015 out of 1203 subscribers finished!
10/20/04 wcwint tt 0 out of 1086 subscribers finished!
10/20/04 atb1020 atb 0 out of 4321 subscribers finished!

There are more entries but obviously my description is not getting the point across.

I've had scheduled entries since Oct. 20 that haven't gone out. This one is apparently holding all the rest of them up:

10/20/04 plmgold dq 1015 out of 1203 subscribers finished!

but I don't know how to reset or clear this entry. Actually, I'd rather just delete some of these entries as they are out-dated now but the delete option goes away once the schedule date is past.

Hello Deanna,

Doesn't the number send of the oldest entry increase with every cron-job called?

If it doesn't increase slowly, either the cron-job is not working, or there is another problem with an entry on that list.

If you like to remove those scheduled messages, you can do so by manually editing the ub.dat file in the data directory.

The oldest scheduled message is the first entry in that file and the newest the last entry.
Sincerely,

Frank Bauer
