Hi Frank, Several years ago I installed MMF on one of my client's web sites, and it worked fine but it has sat for at least a couple of years unused because they wanted to compose their newsletters in Publisher (which puts out nasty HTML, so they did their emailing out of Publisher as well). I'm talking them into upgrading to MMS now, but in testing out MMF to make sure it's working ok, I found that some changes my web host made to the server has caused MMF to fail now. When I attempt to send messages, I get this error: Could not bind to socket (this may be okay anyway): Unknown error. I and my web host have tried changing the SMTP server and port settings to various combinations, but they all give this error. My web host says that their change to Windows 2003 server and latest Perl may have created an incompatibility with the MMF script (the one I have is from 2003). Is there a newer version of MMF that I should try? I feel that I should get MMF working before I upgrade to MMS, since I imagine they use essentially the same settings & core code. I'd appreciate any advice to make this work again. thanks! Luann |
